Health with Dr. Rahim Valani

2Dr. Rahim Valani is a staff emergency physician based out of McMaster University. He is a graduate of Queen’s University and completed his specialist training in both adult and pediatric emergency medicine.  His passion is in medical education and clinical practice, and has published several articles in these areas.  He is also the editor of the Hospital for Sick Children Handbook of Pediatric Trauma; Pain and procedural sedation in the ED; and the upcoming handbook of Pediatric Emergency Medicine.

As a testament to his dedication, Dr. Valani was promoted to Associate Professor at McMaster, and also won the annual award for teaching excellence within his Division.  He has also been recognized as a Global Health Scholar for his work with the International Pediatric Emergency Elective program that is a peace through health initiative focused on the Middle East.
